Mr. Brenton Wright

Mr. Wright is an experienced executive with senior roles in relationship management, team leadership, business development and strategic planning in the commercial development, government and non-government sectors. He has a unique combination of precise analytical skills and creative "outside the square" problem solving skills. He is a clear, persuasive communicator and skilled negotiator and a trusted manager and leader with an open, consultative style. His recent clients include numerous departments of the South Australian government, ETSA utilities, Prescott Securities, Tenix Defence, Electronic Data Systems and many others.

Dr. Ralf Brandt (PhD)

CEO and Managing Director

Dr. Brandt is the co-founder of vivoPharm. He is a biochemist and cell biologist with over 15 years experience in research programs of experimental oncology. Furthermore, he has immense experience in in vivo pharmacology and anti-cancer drug profiling. He received his Licence (BSc in Biochemistry and Animal Physiology) in 1986, and his PhD (in Biochemistry) in 1991 from the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Dr. Brandt was employed at research positions at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, USA and at Schering AG, Germany. Since 1990, Dr. Brandt has been active in the field of preclinical oncology. He led the Tumour Biology program at Novartis Pharma AG, Switzerland and established several transgenic mouse lines developing tumours under the control of oncogenes. During Dr. Brandt's long career in the pharmaceutical industry he has acquired significant knowledge and expertise in leading business units and representation of services to the pre-clinical research market. Dr. Brandt is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Receptor Inc. in Toronto Canada

Kym Weir

Non-executive Director

Mr. Weir originally had experience in all facets of a chartered accountant's practice. In recent years, however, he has specialised in corporate recovery and corporate advisory work, in which he has handled numerous administrations, business reviews, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and strategic planning assignments. Mr. Weir has served on the boards of organisations including the National Basketball League, Challenger Beston Ltd., the Motor Accident Commission, the Australian Institute of Fitness and many others. He currently holds the position of Managing Director of Rundle Capital Partners Ltd., which is an Adelaide based merchant bank firm concentrating on corporate advisory, capital raising, and investor relation work.

Sabine Brandt

Executive Finance Manager

Mrs Sabine Brandt is a co-founder of vivoPharm. Her career, which has spanned close to 10 years, includes financial management, financial planning and sales in a variety of industry sectors such as insurance and banking. In these roles, Mrs Brandt has gained experience within various departments of the banking and financial markets in Germany. Mrs Brandt led in the establishment of new offices for some insurance companies which has brought her a high level of experience in accounting and sales.

Fernando Felquer (PhD, MBA)

VP, Global Commercial Development

Dr. Felquer holds a Bachelor of Science (hons) from the University of Morn, Buenos Aires, a PhD from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Institute of Business Administration. As an academic researcher, Dr Felquer worked on the intracellular signaling pathways involved in disorders such as inflammation and cancer, Stem Cell Biology and Genetics. He joined vivoPharm as the Head of the in vitro Pharmacology Laboratory where he was instrumental to establishing the new facilities at Thebarton and the significant expansion of the in vitro service portfolio. Fernando took on the role of Vice President, Business Development in 2009. In his current role, he is responsible for analysing and pursuing opportunities to lead vivoPharm's global commercial development. Fernando played a critical role in securing the funding and conditions necessary to establish vivoPharm's North American facility.

Dr. Katja Wosikowski (PhD)

Head, vivoPharm Europe

Dr. Wosikowski completed her PhD in cell biology at the Biozentrum in Switzerland. She was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in the US to study drug resistance mechanisms and growth factor signalling pathways. Dr. Wosikowski is an expert in designing, managing, and reporting preclinical pharmacology studies and preparing dossiers for regulatory approval. She has over 10 years international experience in preclinical oncology and drug development and holds over 10 patents. She led the preclinical pharmacology laboratory at Klinge Pharma in Germany, and managed the small molecule urokinase inhibitor programme at Wilex AG. As Associate Director, Pharmacology, at GPC Biotech AG she was responsible for the pharmacology of the preclinical and clinical compounds in development.

Dr Lorraine Mackenzie (PhD)

Head, vivoPharm Australia

Dr Mackenzie joined vivoPharm in 2010 as Vice President for Research and Science with over 30 years experience in scientific project development and model establishment. She has worked extensively in the areas of neuroscience, cancer and cardiac research. Dr Mackenzie graduated from Flinders University of South Australia in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a triple major in Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Genetics and again in December 2003 with a PhD where she evaluated the electrophysiological pathophysiology of epilepsy. For her post doctoral studies she was awarded a prestigious Peter Doherty Fellowship from NHMRC and moved to University of Adelaide where she spent 7 Years as a Senior Research Fellow establishing and leading the Experimental Electrophysiology Laboratory conducting cardiac research. Dr Mackenzie has published extensively with over 40 peer reviewed original journal articles and has won many awards including the Ahrens Award for Excellence in 2010 from the Heart Foundation.
